Saturday 20th July - bike **** – Around Felixstowe – sunny and hot with light winds:(

Didn’t have any plans for today with another hot day forecast, I did have a ride down the seafront to take some weather pics but it was already busy and I couldn’t park, there was a large container ship heading in so I went down to Felixstowe dock view point just in time to see it come in assisted by three tugs, it then did a turn in front of the café so I could get some cool pics. Then home for breakfast as the onshore breeze did build but it was high water so decided to wait and do my exercises in the hot back garden by which time the tide had turned and the breeze had dropped! Mag was making stuff with her lavender while I read my book. With Maeva away with her mum and Dad for a few days Mag had to llok after their cats so we decided to bike round as it was cooler then. We left hgome at 4.45 and headed to Gulpher Road where the wheat had been recentely cut and the bailer was out so we made a small detour to watch and take some pics. The calfs were out in their field but the pond was pretty dry! Continuing onto Candlet Lane we turned over the fields to the small wood by the A 14 before turning back to Trimley where we crossed the railway line over the huge footbridge. We then took our favourite tree lined path back to Felixstowe feeding the rudd in the small pond after frightening a heron away! Then back past the huge Uniserve warehouse, sort the cats out and home for a late tea after enjoying a top 10 mile bike ride:)
